Giving the state of roads and its maintenance cost across Nigeria and other parts of the world, the issue of bad road is common in the area of Ogba.

The roads in this area is nothing short of an eye sore and an embarrassment to the government especially the one leading to Aguda because this is a major road with the likes of The Nigerian Police Force (Area G), The Nigerian Institute of Journalism, WAEC Office, Business Centers and a lot of Banks in that area.
The residents of this area are the most affected by this issue as it gets worse and difficult to pass through especially when it rains, it makes it hard for people to go about their daily activities and all.

A student of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Adedeji Silas said, “Well, as a persistent user of the route I think the road is usually in a very bad condition immediately after any rainfall as the drainages are usually filled to the top thereby covering most part of the road and causing traffic around the area and sometimes it’s not motor able after the rain
I think this has done some damage to the road which has caused pot holes on the road and this obstruct the free flow of motorists while using the road during dry season too.
A business center attendant whose office is opposite the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Hanna Samuel, said the neglect of the road in front of the institution highlights a broader issue of infrastructural decay in Lagos and underscores the need for a comprehensive and proactive approach to address such challenges in the city’s development.
This situation has caused a lot of outrages and social media outburst from students and concerned citizens who are calling on the government to help with the road fast.
